Firefighters quickly extinguished a blaze that damaged a vacant home in North Hollywood early Saturday morning.

Crews responded at 2 a.m. to the 6100 block of Hazelhurst Place, near Colfax Avenue, and found the one-story home fully involved with fire, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A total of 34 firefighters needed just 24 minutes to extinguish the flames and keep fire from spreading beyond the home, Humphrey said.

A knock down was called about 2:25 a.m.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
