A fire damaged a vacant residential building in the Arlington Heights area of Los Angeles Friday, but no one was hurt.

The fire was reported at 10:14 a.m. on the first floor of the boarded-up, two-story “multi-family dwelling” in the 1500 block of South Wilton Place, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters extinguished the flames in 24 minutes, Humphrey said. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
