One person died and five people were injured Saturday evening when a multi-vehicle collision sent one vehicle careening into a North Hollywood liquor store.
The collision was reported at 6:28 p.m. at 11000 W. Oxnard St., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Margaret Stewart.
The initial report indicated a vehicle crashed into a liquor store, ejecting one person and trapping three others inside, Stewart said.
It was subsequently reported that a multiple-vehcle collision led one of the vehicles to careen into the building. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, three were freed from the vehicle and taken to trauma centers, and two others declined treatment after being evaluated at the scene.
The ages and genders of the patients were not available, she said.
The cause of the crash was not immediately determined but remained under investigation.
