Fire damaged a commercial building in Van Nuys Wednesday evening, burning inside the building’s walls and presenting challenges in locating all of the flames.
Crews responded about 10:10 p.m. to the 7200 block of Woodman Avenue, north of Sherman Way, and discovered a fire outside the building had spread inside the structure, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters punched holes in walls in order to extinguish the fire and a knock down was declared about 11 p.m., Prange said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
