A woman who was killed in a two-vehicle traffic crash in South Los Angeles was identified by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office Monday.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the crash scene in the 8800 block of South Central Avenue at 9:01 a.m. Sunday, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Tamysha Smith, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second person suffered critical injuries and was taken to a hospital, and another person suffered minor injuries during the crash, Stewart said.
According to sources at the scene, the critically injured patient was a 60-year-old man and the minor injuries were suffered by a woman, approximately 30 years old.
