A man was shot to death in the Florence-Firestone area of Los Angeles Monday.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded about 11:20 a.m. to the 1400 block of East 90th Street, near Leon H. Washington Park, on reports of the shooting and found the man unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds in the front walkway of a home, according to a department statement.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of his next of kin, though the LASD said he was in his late 20s.
It was not immediately known if the man was a resident of the home where he was found.
No suspect description was provided, though LASD detectives were investigating the shooting as being gang-related, according to the department.
