A 26-year-old Irvine man who used his cellphone to secretly record video and take up-skirt photos of female customers in a Tustin store was ordered Thursday to do 150 hours of community service and register as a sex offender.

Brian Joseph Eastman pleaded guilty March 24 to six misdemeanor counts of using a concealed recording device to record another without their consent.

Eastman could face up to 210 days in jail if he fails to complete three years of formal probation, according to court records.

Police were called to a TJ Maxx store at 2817 Park Ave. in March of last year in response to a complaint from a woman shopper, who said Eastman backed her up to a store pillar and used his phone to take photos under her dress, police said.

Video footage and photos of several unidentified women were found on the suspect’s phone, police said.

The dates of the incidents were listed as happening on March 6, March 9, March 16 and March 22, 2013, according to court records.
