A motorist was seriously injured when his vehicle struck a railroad crossing sign in Huntington Beach, police said Wednesday.
The driver, who is in his late teens or early 20s, lost control of his Jeep Cherokee on westbound McFadden Avenue near Gothard Street around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, said Huntington Beach police Lt. Bo Svendsbo. The impact on rail services was not immediately reported.
