A 51-year-old man speeding on a black 1986 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was killed when he struck a parked pickup truck at a Huntington Beach home, police said Saturday.

The crash also caused minor damage to a portion of an attached garage at a home in the 16800 block of Montclair Lane, according to a news statement from the Huntington Beach Police Department.

The motorcycle was speeding eastbound on Lancaster Drive when it struck a parked silver 2012 Ford F-150 pickup truck. The truck was parked in the driveway of the home, where the biker struck a portion of the attached garage and continued onto the side yard, according to the statement.

Officers were dispatched to the scene of the crash at Lancaster Drive and Montclair Lane at 10:10 p.m. Friday. Paramedics rushed the motorcyclist to UCI Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

“The residents of the damaged residence were home at the time of the collision and were uninjured,” according to the news statement.
