An Irvine high school English teacher pleaded guilty Wednesday to meeting an underage student to engage in lewd conduct and was immediately sentenced to 120 days in jail.
When the case was filed in May 2012, prosecutors said Dominic John Augustus Witter texted nude photos of himself to a 15-year-old student in April of that year and arranged to meet her for sex.

Witter, now 28, also asked her to send him nude pictures of herself, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
Witter taught English and also coached the girls’ track and boy’s soccer teams at Crean Lutheran High School, authorities said.
The Laguna Niguel resident was arrested April 5, 2012, at a pizzeria in Laguna Hills in a sting that was organized by the Orange County Child Exploitation Task and included Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security agents, as well as sheriff’s deputies and Irvine police.
