Firefighters Friday put out a large fire that burned in four garages and three condominiums in Irvine, caused smoke damage in three other condos, and displaced 15 people, authorities said.

The blaze in the 20 block of Silverwood began just before midnight Thursday, Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi said. It took 75 firefighters about 65 minutes to knock down the flames, he said. No injuries were reported.

The OCFA also brought in a small bulldozer to pull out two cars that were burned in the fire.

The fire displaced 13 adults and two teenagers, Concialdi said. The Red Cross and the Trauma Intervention Program were helping the displaced find emergency housing, Concialdi said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation by the OCFA.
