The first licensed marijuana dispensary in Santa Ana, where one of the owners was shot in November, Wednesday announced a labor contract for its employees, a first-of-its-kind agreement in Orange County.
South Coast Safe Access negotiated the contract with the Orange County Labor Federation’s United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 324, which represents pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy clerks.
A news conference is planned tomorrow to discuss the deal.
The part-owner of the dispensary was shot about 3 p.m. Nov. 2 as the 48- year-old victim was exiting the business on his way to his vehicle in the parking lot, according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
The attacker remains at large, he said.
