A boy was shot in the lower torso in Santa Ana, authorities said Monday.
The shooting was reported at 11:26 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of East Walnut Street, said Santa Ana Police Commander Matt Sorenson. The boy was taken to a hospital with a wound not believed to be life-threatening, he said.
“We did locate spent shell casings at the scene,” he said.
The boy was not cooperating with police so they do not have suspect information, Sorenson said.
