A motorcyclist who was killed when he collided with a car in Lake Forest was identified Tuesday by authorities as an 18-year-old from Rancho Santa Margarita.
The crash occurred around 8:45 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Trabuco Road and Rimhurst Drive, according to Lt. Dan Dwyer of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The motorcyclist, identified by the county coroner’s office as 18-year- old David Ladue of Rancho Santa Margarita, was riding his 2016 Yamaha north on Trabuco Road when he collided with a 2015 Hyundai trying to turn left on Rimhurst Drive, Dwyer said. Ladue died at the scene.
The 30-year-old woman driving the car, and her two passengers, including a 2-year-old girl, were not injured in the crash but taken to a hospital as a precautionary measure, Dwyer said.
Northbound Trabuco Road, from El Toro Road to Ridge Route Drive, was closed for about five hours following the crash for the investigation.
