A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a woman in her 60s Sunday in a residential area of Garden Grove, leaving her with “significant injuries.”
Officers were dispatched about 5:15 a.m. to the 13400 block of Balos Drive regarding a female down in the street, said Garden Grove police Lt. Chris Lawton.

“The victim was transported to a local hospital with significant injuries related to the assault,” Lawton said. “A male suspect was arrested at the scene.”
There was no other immediate information.
