The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Tuesday for the eighth consecutive day, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.684, its highest amount since Aug. 24, 2015.

The average price has risen 2.2 cents over the past eight days, including one-tenth of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 1.8 cents more than one week ago, 10.6 cents higher than one month ago and 67.6 cents greater than one year ago.

The average price has risen 53.4 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose nine-tenths of a cent Tuesday to $3.648, its highest amount since Aug. 23, 2015.

The Orange County average price is 2.1 cents more than one week ago, 10.8 cents higher than one month ago and 65.3 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 53.2 cents since the start of the year.
