A non-injury crash involving a truck prompted the closure of the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Westminster Wednesday.
The crash was reported shortly before 7 a.m. at Westminster Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to the CHP’s preliminary report, the truck was carrying a backhoe that came into contact with the bridge that crosses over the freeway.
Crews were sent to remove debris from the roadway, and an inspection was being arranged to check on the damage to the structure. The closure was continuing about an hour after the crash.
