Crews quickly corralled a one-acre brush fire Monday that damaged one home and forced evacuations before being contained.
The blaze broke out just about noon at Flintridge and Las Palmas, said Fullerton-Brea Deputy Fire Chief Chris Nigg. It appears that power lines likely knocked down by high winds sparked the blaze, Nigg said.
Heavy vegetation and high winds fueled the fire, forcing evacuations in the area, but the blaze was knocked down by 1 p.m., Nigg said.
One house sustained damage to the roof, but no one was injured, he said.
