Nearly 1,000 customers lost power Thursday in Coachella.
The Imperial Irrigation District reported at 11:15 a.m. that 959 customers lost electricity in an area generally bounded west of Fredrick Street, north of Ninth Street and west of Highway 111. Power was reported to be restored an hour later.
No cause for the outage was given.
Customers still without power were asked to check their main breakers or call IID customer service at 800-303-7756.
