The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose three-tenths of a cent Sunday to $3.912 after changing by one-tenth of cent or less three of the previous four days.
The average price dropped one-tenth of a cent on Saturday, rose one-tenth of a cent on Thursday and was unchanged on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose six-tenths of a cent Friday.
The average price is 1.7 cents higher than one week ago, 13.8 cents more than one month ago and $1.09 greater than one year ago. It has risen by 73.6 cents since the start of the year, mainly because of a run of 82 increases in 84 days totaling 70.4 cents that ended March 30.
