One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Riverside, police said Friday.

California Highway Patrol officers were called at 10:58 p.m. Thursday to Van Buren Boulevard and Mockingbird Canyon where they found a motorcycle and a pickup had collided, according to the Riverside Fire Authority.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was not known if the victim was on the motorcycle or in the pickup.

The cause of the crash is under investigation and has been turned over to the CHP.
