Disney/Pixar’s latest animated release “Onward” led the way at theaters over the weekend in its debut, according to final figures released Monday.

“Onward” collected $39.1 million between Friday and Sunday to lead the way at theaters, according to box-office tracker Comscore.

The thriller “The Invisible Man” slipped to second place, earning $15.2 million at North American theaters. Ben Affleck’s drama “The Way Back” debuted in third place with $8.2 million.

The animated “Sonic The Hedgehog” took fourth with $7.7 million, followed by Harrison Ford’s “The Call of the Wild” with $6.8 million.

Rounding out the top 10 films of the weekend were “Emma” ($4.8 million); “Bad Boys For Life” ($3 million); “Birds of Prey” ($2.1 million); “Impractical Jokers: The Movie” ($1.8 million); and “My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising” ($1.7 million).
