A motorist in a vehicle was killed when it crashed into one unit in a row of bungalow-style homes in San Pedro, authorities said Saturday.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 9:35 p.m. Friday to 612 W. 26th St., said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The woman driving the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, Humphrey said. No other injuries were reported.
The unit that was struck was later red tagged and ruled uninhabitable, according to an officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division.
No other structures were red-tagged, he said.
