Authorities Thursday sought the public’s help to solve the killing of a young woman who was gunned down in a drive-by attack in the South Los Angeles area in November of 2020.

Michelle Diaz, 19, was fatally shot about 7:45 p.m. on Nov. 22, 2020 in the 1400 block of West 106th Street, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Diaz was with her boyfriend in front of the location when a car occupied by four male suspects drove past them and she was shot, the sheriff’s department reported.

The car was described as a blue, newer model, four-door sedan, possibly a Kia Forte or Kia Optima. Detailed descriptions of the suspects were not released, nor was a motive for the crime.

Anyone with information on the case was urged to contact sheriff’s Detective S. Garcia at 323-890-5500 or via email at sgarcia@lasd.org. Tipsters may also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
