The National Weather Service forecast for Los Angeles and vicinity on Monday calls for sunny skies. Highs in the 80s to around 90. Winds 20 to 30 m.p.h. with gusts to 45 m.p.h. decreasing to 15 to 25 m.p.h. in the afternoon. Wind advisory in effect from Malibu through the Hollywood Hills until 3 p.m. Monday.

Monday night it will be mostly clear. Lows in the upper 50s to mid 60s.

The forecast for Tuesday calls for sunny skies. Highs in the 80s to around 90.

In Coastal Orange County the forecast for Monday calls mostly sunny skies. Warmer, with highs 84 to 89. Areas of winds northeast 15 to 25 m.p.h. with gusts to 35 m.p.h. in the morning becoming light. Wind advisory in effect until 2 p.m.

Monday night it will be clear. Lows 52 to 59. Areas of winds northeast  15 m.p.h. with gusts to 25 m.p.h. in the evening becoming light.

Tuesday it will be mostly sunny. Highs 78 to 83. Light winds.

The ultraviolet index level in the Los Angeles area for Tuesday is a moderate 5, according to the weather service. A moderate exposure level of 5-6 indicates that a person with a fair complexion could be safe from sun burn for 10-12 minutes, unless protected.
