Authorities Friday sought public help to find a 68-year-old Ventura County woman with “age-related mental conditions” who went missing and may be trying to go to her former home in the Valley Village area.
Barbara Susanne Ammann was last seen about 1 p.m. Tuesday in Moorpark and was reportedly en route to Thousand Oaks to pick up a family member, but never made it there, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
“Ms. Ammann recently moved to the Moorpark area from the Valley Village area (and) investigators believe she may have tried to return to that area,” a sheriff’s statement said. “Ms. Amman suffers from several age-related medical conditions that can occasionally cause confusion.”
Ammann is described as white, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 115 pounds, with gray hair and glasses. She was wearing a white shirt, blue pants and a black rain coat.
She was driving a red, 2002 Ford Focus station wagon with license number 4XMK974.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts was urged to call the Ventura County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center at 805-654-9511.
