Firefighters were working to extinguish a one-and-a-half-acre brush fire Tuesday in the Beverly Crest area.

The fire was reported at about 10:15 a.m. near 48 Beverly Crest Drive, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

After about 90 minutes, firefighters reported they were making “good progress” in extinguishing the flames, the LAFD reported.

“The terrain is very steep, presenting challenges for firefighters on the ground, as water drops continue from the air,” said Nicholas Prange of the LAFD.
