A man in his 80s was found dead Friday at the scene of a house fire in the unincorporated Westmont area.
The fire was reported about 10:05 a.m. in the 1200 block of West 109th Street, between Vermont and Normandie avenues, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.
Firefighters knocked down the blaze in about 15 minutes, a dispatcher said.
The victim’s name was not immediately released.
