A fire at a metal recycling yard in Canoga Park Thursday evening was knocked down within 20 minutes no injuries reported.
Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire in the 21600 block of Nordhoff Street, between Owensmouth and Canoga avenues, around 9:15 p.m. Thursday, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
Firefighters will remain at the scene to ensure full containment and for a clean-up operation. Stewart said.
It was unclear what may have sparked the fire, and the cause was under investigation.
