A greater alarm structure fire in Lake Balboa Saturday damaged a one-story automotive repair shop, as well as several vehicles inside and adjacent to the business, authorities said.
Firefighters dispatched at 11:59 a.m. to 16816 W. Saticoy St. had the fire out within 63 minutes of their arrival, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“The 70 year-old structure of cinder block construction was not equipped with an optional fire sprinkler system,” Humphrey said.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
