A fire at an auto body shop in Canoga Park was knocked down Friday by Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters.
The fire was reported at 1:51 a.m. and fire crews responded to 21521 W. Gault St. between Remmet and Alabama avenues where they found the fire burning in the shop’s five bays, LAFD said spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
It took 82 firefighters an hour to extinguish the flames and no injuries were reported. Crews will remain on scene throughout the morning conducting overhaul operations, Stewart said.
