A fire damaged a vacant house in the Van Nuys area Thursday, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters sent to Cedros Avenue and Gilmore Street at 11:19 a.m. extinguished the flames in the single-story structure in 22 minutes, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“The fire was prevented from extending to any exposed structures,” Stewart said in a statement. “The building was vacant and no patients (were) located inside.”
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
