California Highway Patrol officers discovered a dead body near the Artesia (91) Freeway in Carson Saturday and an investigation is underway.
CHP officers were contacted about the body and arrived at the westbound freeway and the Avalon Boulevard exit at 4:13 a.m., CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.
The gender, age or name of the victim was not immediately known.
The CHP issued a SigAlert for the closure of all lanes of the westbound 91 Freeway at Avalon, the HOV lane and one lane of the eastbound freeway while officers investigated.
