The editing teams behind films including “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “The Revenant” and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” were among those earning nominations Monday for the American Cinema Editors’ 66th annual ACE Eddie Awards.

All three were nominated for best editing in a drama film, along with the editors of “The Martian” and “Sicario.”

For film comedies, nominations went to “Ant-Man,” “The Big Short,” “Joy,” “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” and “Trainwreck.”

The awards will be presented Jan. 29 at the Beverly Hilton.

The Eddie Awards are generally considered a strong indicator of who will be honored in the film editing category on Oscar night.
