A kayaker Saturday may be a bit reluctant to go back in the water again after finding a man’s body floating in Huntington Harbor.
What was supposed to be a quiet paddle turned into something from a horror movie when the grim discovery was made, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.
There weren’t a lot of details available yet about the incident. Officials could only say for sure that the body found Friday about 5 p.m. was that of a man, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, which was handling the investigation along with the Orange County coroner’s office.
Lt. Jeff Hallock of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said the body may be that of a man reported missing earlier in the week.
