A blaze in a nearly 5,000-square-foot commercial building in downtown Los Angeles was extinguished in just 26 minutes Wednesday morning.

Firefighters responded to the 500 block of East Sixth Street, just east of San Pedro Street, at 3:21 a.m and found a 4,920 square-foot commercial building with fire through the roof, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A total of 68 firefighters extinguished the flames “with a well-coordinated fire attack with rooftop ventilation,” Prange said.

A knockdown was declared at 3:47 a.m.

The building housed a recording studio, NBC4 reported.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
