Authorities Saturday circulated a photo of an 89-year-old man suffering from dementia who went missing in Irvine.
Fawzi Darwish, who is also hard of hearing, was last seen about 1:30 p.m. Friday near his home in the area of Alton Parkway and Harvard Avenue, the Irvine Police Department reported.
Darwish was described as a 5-feet-7-inch man of Middle-Eastern descent weighing approximately 160 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He is also missing some of his teeth.
He was last seen wearing a gray and brown suit with a gray scarf. He is also known to carry a brown leather briefcase and wears glasses.
Authorities said he is known to travel by bus to Anaheim, Costa Mesa and Garden Grove.
Irvine police asked anyone with information regarding Darwish’s whereabouts to call them at 714-724-7200.
