Firefighters Saturday rescued a woman from her car as it hung above busy El Toro Road in Laguna Woods, authorities said.
The incident was reported at 4:48 p.m outside a Rite Aid store at 24330 El Toro Road, according to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Greg Barta.
“It was teetering 40 feet above El Toro Road,” Barta said.
Firefighters were able to secure the Toyota Camry with ropes and chains, which enabled them to remove the Laguna Woods resident from the car and prevent it from falling onto the road, he said.
There were no injuries, Barta said. It was unclear how the vehicle wound up in that position.
