One person was killed and another trapped in the wreckage of a single-vehicle roll over crash in the unincorporated Glen Ivy area of Riverside County near Corona.
Firefighters responded to the crash near Mayhew and Temescal Canyon roads about 4:30 a.m. and pronounced one of the occupants of the vehicle dead at the scene, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
A second person in the vehicle was freed from the wreckage and taken to a hospital in unknown condition, the department said.
Witnesses told the CHP the vehicle went off the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 near the Indian Truck Trail exit went, overturned and landed near Mayhew and Temescal Canyon roads.
The name of the victim was not disclosed.
Corona firefighters assisted Riverside County crews with the extrication.
