The Riverside County coroner Saturday released the names of a 6-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy killed when the SUV they were in overturned on eastbound Interstate 10 in Palm Desert.
Alia Toomer was 6 and Jeremiah Toomer was 2, the coroner said.
The crash occurred between Cook and Washington streets at 11:40 p.m. Friday when the vehicle struck the center divider and overturned, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Paramedics treated and transported four other victims who suffered moderate injuries in the crash, including another child, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
