Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department shot at robbery suspects in Burbank Monday evening, but it was not immediately clear if anyone was hit by gunfire.
Deputies were looking for suspects “from recent strong arm robberies,” and about 8:30 p.m. shot at suspects in a vehicle in the 3500 block of West Olive Avenue, near the Ventura (134) Freeway, according to Carrie Braun of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
No information was given regarding why deputies fired at the suspects.
It was not clear if anyone was hit by gunfire, and the suspects drove away, then crashed the car, Braun said.
Two suspects were taken to a hospital, but it was not known if their injuries were from the crash or gunfire.
