The coroner’s office Sunday released the name of a man killed in a crash in the unincorporated Sun Village area near Palmdale that also killed a female and injured five other people.
Justin Leath, 20, was a Palmdale resident, the coroner’s office said..
The multiple-vehicle crash was reported at 6:25 p.m. Thursday near 90th Street East and Palmdale Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol and Capt. Dave Parigan of the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Station 93 in Palmdale.
Leath and a female, who were in different vehicles, were pronounced dead at the scene, Parigan said. The female’s name and age were not yet released.
Five others, including four with minor injuries, were taken to a hospital for treatment, according to Parigan.
The crash caused one vehicle to turn on its roof and one to catch fire, the CHP reported. Information about what led up to the crash was not released.
