A one-story commercial building in Sun Valley went up in flames Sunday.

The structure at 9009 N. Laurel Canyon Blvd. caught fire around 2:45 a.m., according to Margaret Stewart with the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The about 20-foot by 40-foot facility was already “fully involved” as crews worked to get the flames under control, she said.

It took 40 firefighters to put out the fire in 22 minutes.

The extent of the damage is still to be determined, but no injuries were reported.
