Music mogul Simon Cowell was hospitalized Sunday after falling off an electric bicycle at his Malibu home and undergoing surgery to repair a broken back.
Cowell, 60, was testing a new electric bike at his house Saturday and was expected to have surgery that evening, a representative told People Magazine.
“He hurt his back and was taken to the hospital. He’s doing fine, he’s under observation and is in the best possible hands,” the rep told the magazine.
Cowell was scheduled to appear on the first live show of “America’s Got Talent” Tuesday.
