Officers found a motorist fatally wounded inside his vehicle in Santa Ana, authorities said Sunday.
Officers dispatched at 9:12 p.m. Saturday regarding a shooting call in the area of MacArthur Boulevard and Bear Street located a vehicle that was struck by gunfire and a motorist suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body, according to a watch commander at the Santa Ana Police Department.
A woman, a passenger inside the vehicle, was not injured. Paramedics rushed the motorist to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Witnesses described the victim’s car as a 2008 BMW. Police had no suspect vehicle description.
