A man in a wheelchair was shot and killed Wednesday evening in Lancaster.
Deputies responded about 7:20 p.m. to the 44200 block of Cedar Avenue, near West Avenue J-4, where they found the victim, who was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
A news photographer at the scene said the man was in a wheelchair when he was shot.
A motive for the shooting and description of the shooter or shooters were not immediately available.
The name of the victim was not disclosed.
