Flames damaged a single-story house in Valinda Thursday, and sheriff’s arson investigators were called to the scene to determine whether fireworks were involved, a fire official said.

The blaze was reported just before 12:30 p.m. at 16335 E. Amar Road, Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Sean Ferguson told City News Service. Arriving firefighters saw smoke and fire showing from the rear of the home. They put out the flames in 11 minutes, he said.

Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control officers were contacted to deal with three dogs in the yard, Ferguson said.

No injuries were reported.
