A woman was fatally hit by a truck Thursday in Malibu.
The crash about 6:30 a.m. resulted in the closure of Pacific Coast Highway near Busch Drive, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Westbound lanes of PCH were later reopened, but eastbound lanes remained closed several hours afterward.
Information on the identity of the fatally injured woman, who died at the scene, was not immediately available.
As a result of the fatality, the school day for Malibu Middle School and Malibu High School delayed the start of its day until 10:30 a.m.
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
