A fire damaged a two-story townhome in the Hollywood Hills Monday, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters sent to the 2200 block of North Beachwood Drive at 10:07 a.m. extinguished the flames in 53 minutes, said Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“Firefighters responded to find only light smoke, but discovered that fire was well-established in the hidden wall space and attic, and spread throughout the ducting to multiple units,” Prange said in a statement.
“Firefighters ensured all occupants were out, and `chased down’ all of the flame and hot structural materials in the building, most of which was not easily accessible,” Prange said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
