Orange County prosecutors Monday rejected allegations that Supervisor Andrew Do doesn’t live in the district he represents.

In a letter to the resident making the allegation that Do lives in Santa Ana, not Westminster as he has claimed, prosecutors said the evidence they collected backs up Do.

The letter from Senior Deputy District Attorney Brock Zimmon, who led the investigation, states, “We find that the vast majority of the evidence corroborates, rather than contradicts, Supervisor’s Do’s assertion that the Westminster address is his legal residence. As such, Do was eligible to run for, and is eligible to retain, the First District seat on the board of supervisors.”

It’s unclear who made the allegation; the name of the complainant was redacted.

A message left for Do was not immediately returned.

Do was elected on Jan. 27 to succeed his former boss Janet Nguyen, who vacated the seat when she was elected to the state Senate.
